Modular Underwater Pressure Housings
The requirements for underwater housings are manifold – high depth rating, easy to handle and maintain, robust for use under rough conditions which are given on the open sea, corrosion resistant with no limitation for the operation period and light weight.
And often we were faced with customer demands for more flexibility and the possibility to reconfigure the housings – e.g. the potential to adapt the housing to different applications with no or only very limited effort.
With these requirements we started the development of a totally new housing concept.
Our modular underwater pressure housings overcome the limitations of other concepts:
More cost competitive than titanium housings while offering the same corrosion resistance, higher deep rating than all other synthetic or composite housings, low maintenance requirements, robust, modular, extensible, non magnetic and improved galvanic compatibility to other equipment due to largely non metallic outer shell.
Our modular underwater pressure housings are available in various series: Deep Water Modular Composite Housing (DW.MCH standard / extended / large) and Shallow Water Modular Composite Housing (SW.MCH standard / extended / compact). For small but very effective solutions we advise our base housing. It is also available in a shallow water version (SW.Base) and a deep water version (DW.Base).

Our design is a result of a long-term expertise in oceanography. Sophisticated 3D modeling and simulation tools, developed by our engineers, help to manufacture our housings with superior design and persuading quality. Specified operating depths are calculated with a safety factor of 1.5 and are verified in pressing testing facilities.
Principally used materials are titanium, fiber-reinforced synthetics and high strengthened aluminium with surface hard coating. Integral parts made of epoxy-glass resin are also demanded.
