The THOR lander acquires ocean current, CTD and oxygen content data for climate research purposes. The lander was deployed in the Faroe Bank Channel by Bjerknes Centre for Climate Research and Geophysical Institute (Bergen-Norway). The first data were successfully downloaded to a surface vessel in June 2010. It utilizes develogic HAM.Node modems for data logging and transmission. The maximum deployment duration is 5 years. The data will be downloaded several times a year.

develogic delivered acoustic telemetry for THOR lander.

Intelligent Subsea Pressure Housings

Mai 2011

We adjusted our housings more and more to the technical requirements:

Aside from usual expectations just like as

  • reliability
  • easy handling under operating conditions
  • robustness
  • corrosion-resistance
  • low dead weight

Our latest underwater pressure housings fulfill every precondition to support the instruments at work dependably.

When assembling our new housings we considered the following features:

  • cost-effectiveness
  • flexibility in application
  • modular and extensible
  • long maintenance intervalls at low maintenance cost

Our housings are available as shallow- and deep-water versions in different sizes. On the top of that we also manufacture titanium housings as well as customized fiber-reinforced composite constructions.

We grant a 60-months-warranty on our housings capability when used as intended.

For any further questions you are very welcome to call or send us an e-mail.
